REACH Regulation

REACH Regulation

Registration, Evaluation, Authorisation and Restriction of Chemicals

UK REACH is part of the United Kingdom’s chemicals regulatory regime. Businesses that sell or distribute chemicals in the United Kingdom and the European Union must follow both UK REACH and EU REACH rules. UK REACH maintains the European Union’s REACH aims and principles.

REACH was adopted to improve the protection of human health and the environment from the risks posed by chemicals, whilst enhancing the competitiveness of the chemicals industry. In principle, REACH applies to all chemical substances, not only those used in industrial processes. Therefore, the regulation has an impact on most companies throughout the United Kingdom and European Union.

To comply with the regulation, companies must identify and manage the risks linked to the substances they manufacture and market. They must demonstrate how the substance can be safely used, and they must communicate the risk management measures to the users.

REACH requires that sufficient information on Substances of Very High Concern (SVHC) contained in products in concentration is communicated to allow the safe use of the product. The list of Substances of Very High Concern is continually reviewed and updated to include new candidates.

REACH declaration

Clere is committed to continued compliance with the REACH regulation.

Currently, we do not supply any products that fall into this category, however we continue to monitor the Substances of Very High Concern candidate list and should the situation change in the future, we will update this declaration.
