Custom Mixed Signal Security ASICs
A selection of custom mixed signal Security ASICs from Custom Silicon Solutions, including a Spread Spectrum Controller, a PIR Motion Detector and an RFID Tag.
Spread Spectrum Controller
This device is paired with a microcontroller and together they control the operation of a 900MHz spread spectrum transceiver. Functions provided by this ASIC include: system timing & wake-up delay, message formatting, pseudo-random sequence generator, RAM, EEPROM and low battery detector. A sleep mode is included to conserve power in battery applications.
Features
PIR Motion Detector
This IC senses the signal from a passive infrared (PIR) sensor to serve as a motion detector in security systems. The analog section provides the sensor amplifier, low pass filter and window comparator functions. The digital section includes logic to minimize false alarms and “self test” functions to insure the system is operating correctly. Its operating current is extremely low to support battery operated systems.
Features
RFID Tag
This device is a remote powered ID tag. When connected to a suitable antenna, data can be written and read via an RF link. It contains a full wave rectifier to extract power from the RF signal. Data is stored in a micro-power EEPROM. Serial data is transmitted between the tag and a receiver via the RF link.
